A short link
in one click.

Click the icon in Chrome and the page address becomes a short link, already in your clipboard. Or paste a link below. That's the whole product.

Also for Microsoft Edge

No ads on your links. Three shortening services, so it always works.

Works right here, no install

Paste a long link, get a short one.

No account. The link is made by a public shortening service, straight from your browser. It opens the page at once: no ads, no preview page.

One click on the icon. The link is short and already copied.

How it works

Long links are for machines.

No shortener site, no login, no extra tab. One click on the page you're on.

I

Click the icon

Pin it once. Then one click, or ⌥ ⇧ S, from any page.

II

The link gets short

Through is.gd, da.gd or spoo.me. If one is down, the next steps in. The link opens straight away: no ads, no preview page.

III

Paste it

Already in your clipboard. The last fifty links wait in the settings.

Privacy

No server, no account. The only thing sent anywhere is the address you chose to shorten.

Questions

Frequently asked.

Which shortening service is used?

Three public services: is.gd, da.gd and spoo.me. All are free, need no account and open your link straight away, with no ads and no preview page. If one is down, the next is used automatically. You choose which one comes first in the settings.

Do the short links show ads or a preview page?

No. The extension uses only services that redirect straight to your page. That is why TinyURL is not among them: a TinyURL link made without an account opens through a preview page with an ad.

Can I shorten a link without installing anything?

Yes. Paste the link into the form on this page and press Shorten. In Chrome or Edge on a computer the page makes three links a day; the extension has no limit. On phones and in other browsers the page has no limit.

Can I use my own domain?

Not yet. The extension does one thing: a short link in one click. If enough people ask, branded links may come as a paid option.

Does it work on every page?

On any page with a normal web address. Browser pages like settings or a blank tab have nothing to share.

Is it free?

Yes. No account, no limits, no paid tier.

Does it work in Microsoft Edge?

Yes. The same extension is listed in Microsoft Edge Add-ons, with the same Alt+Shift+S shortcut. Open this page in Edge and the install button leads there.

Do I need a bit.ly account?

No. Links are shortened through is.gd, da.gd or spoo.me, all public and free. No bit.ly, no sign-up anywhere.

Is this the same as Linklet?

Yes. Linklet is Gallera Studio's name for the extension. In the Chrome Web Store it is listed as “URL Shortener — one click, link copied”.

Next time a link is longer than the message.
