Shorten a URL in one click.

Last updated: October 2, 2026 · Free online tool and Chrome extension by Gallera Studio

URL Shortener by Gallera Studio is a free Chrome extension with one job: it turns the address of the page you are on into a short link and copies it. No shortener site to open, no login, no extra tab. No extension yet? Paste a link below and shorten it right here.

Works right here, no install

Paste a long link, get a short one.

No account. The link is made by a public shortening service, straight from your browser. It opens the page at once: no ads, no preview page.

Steps

  1. Add the extension to Chrome

Install “URL Shortener — one click, link copied” from the Chrome Web Store. It asks for no account.

  2. Pin the icon

Open the puzzle-piece menu in the toolbar and press the pin next to the extension, so the icon is always one click away.

  3. Click it on any page

The address of the current tab is shortened and copied. A small window confirms “Copied to clipboard” and shows the short link. The shortcut Alt Shift S (⌥ ⇧ S on Mac) does the same without the mouse.

  4. Paste

The short link is already in your clipboard: paste it into a chat, an email or a post.

Questions

Do I need an account?

No. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to log in to, in the extension or at the shortening service.

Do the short links expire?

The link lives at the service that made it (is.gd, da.gd or spoo.me), not in the extension, and the extension sets no expiry date. is.gd says its links are meant to be permanent. For the other two, the service decides.

Where does the long address go?

Only to the shortening service that makes the link. The extension has no server of its own and collects nothing.

Is there a limit on links?

The extension has no limit and no paid tier. The shortening services apply their own fair-use limits to very heavy use.
