A link shortener that asks for nothing.

Last updated: October 2, 2026 · Free online tool and Chrome extension by Gallera Studio

Most link shorteners are built around an account: sign up, confirm the email, then watch the free quota. URL Shortener by Gallera Studio skips all of that. It is a Chrome extension that shortens the page you are on in one click and copies the link. It works the second it is installed. Or use the form below: it needs no account either.

Works right here, no install

Paste a long link, get a short one.

No account. The link is made by a public shortening service, straight from your browser. It opens the page at once: no ads, no preview page.

Steps

  1. Install and pin

Add the extension to Chrome and pin its icon to the toolbar. There is no welcome form and no login.

  2. Click the icon

On any page, one click shortens the address and copies the short link. Or press Alt Shift S.

  3. Paste the link

It is already in your clipboard. That is the whole product.

Questions

Is this an alternative to Bitly?

If all you need is a short link without signing in, yes. It does not offer what Bitly sells: branded domains, click analytics and campaign tools.

Why do other shorteners ask for an account?

Their business is the dashboard: analytics, custom domains and team features live behind a login, and the free tier is limited to bring you there. This extension has no dashboard to sell.

Is it really free?

Yes. No account, no limits in the extension, no paid tier.

Can I use my own domain?

Not in this version. The extension does one thing: a short link in one click.
