Privacy Policy

"URL Shortener — one click, link copied" is a Chrome extension by Gallera Studio. It runs entirely in your browser. The extension has no server of its own, collects no analytics, and does not send your data to the developer or to third parties.
What data is used and why
- The address of the current tab. When you click the icon, the address of the page you are on is sent to one of three public shortening services,
is.gd,da.gdorspoo.me, to create a short link. The next service is used only if the previous one did not answer. The service receives only that address and applies its own privacy policy. Note that spoo.me keeps click statistics for each link on a page open to anyone who knows the link. Nothing is sent unless you click. - The form on this site. When you paste a link into the form and press Shorten, your browser sends that address directly to a public shortening service,
da.gdorspoo.me, and shows the short link it returns. The address does not pass through any server of ours: this site has none. The number of links you made today is kept in your browser to show the daily limit; it is not sent anywhere. - Clipboard. The short link is written to your clipboard. The clipboard is never read.
- History. The last 50 links (original address, short link, page title, time) are stored in the browser's local storage so you can copy them again. You can clear the history in the settings.
- Settings. Your preferred service order is stored in Chrome's sync storage.
What the extension does not do
- It does not read the content of web pages, your browsing history, or other tabs.
- It does not send data to the developer. There is no backend.
- It does not sell or share data with third parties.
Deleting your data
Clear the history in the settings, or uninstall the extension: all local data is removed.
